Timber Treatment

Addlife Timber offers three types of timber preservative formulations applied by vacuum pressure impregnation to suit your specific needs.

CCA Timber Treatment

Copper Chrome Arsenate (also referred to as CCA), is the most common treatment type applied to timber. Designed to act as a fungicide and termiticide, it is more cost effective than ACQ while protecting against termites and fungal decay

ACQ Timber Treatment

ACQ - Alkaline Copper Quaternary (ACQ) was developed as a safer alternative to CCA.  While it is designed to be used as an insecticide and fungicide and is very similar to CCA in effectiveness, the main benefit to ACQ is that it does not contain any arsenic.  While it is more expensive than CCA, ACQ is perfect for high-contact applications, such as garden furniture, children’s play equipment and exterior seating

LOSP Timber Treatment

LOSP - Light Organic Solvent Preservative (LOSP) is a timber treatment also used to minimise the chance of infestation by insects and termites and is regarded as a less hazardous timber treatment
